Working on a Wednesday

Christmas done and dusted, squidged out of the way to make room for the working day.  Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear....here we go building up, up, up and out into the atmosphere of 2013.

We can now look forward to gathering pace, gambolling and cartwheeling away into the springiness of Spring.  When the light nights begin to peep through the cracks in the clouds, spinning the sunshine around and around to dance with the March winds and April showers

Whoooa there....back in the moment...Christmas Day has sat on us and squashed us right into Boxing Day, packaged us out towards the outside aisles, gangways of marauding crowds, digging deep between the rows upon rows and racks upon racks of marked down cloth.

The festive moment is well and truly over and done with, fed and watered until next time round. So now to handle the New Year expectations.  Are we conditioned to party, party, party? Can we decide what it is we want to do or are their conditions placed upon us to kick up our heels in celebration lest we are left feeling less than we are.

Is it me or are are there more expectations to write the sentence, paragraph, chapter and verse of the Christmas festivities concluding the writing of the whole book for the New Year?  Does it place pressure on us, adding to our stress levels?  Bringing on the guilt march, wading us into deep water whilst trying hard to hold onto our footing yet weighed down with should and ought.

Something to be said for feng shui, decluttering our surroundings adds peace of mind; when things are tidy and in order there feels room to breathe almost a sense of serenity. So...to feng shui our minds....clearing out the clutter and making space to listen in on ourselves is a good New Year beginning.

Into 2013 with a clearer head and a lighter load.  Saying what it is as opposed to keeping it tightly held and shoving it under the bed or to the back of our minds.  It will remain there until you move or address it...... using up space.  Take time to chuck it out or speak it out, shaving off the deadwood and permitting roominess to follow through. Think about how good it feels to just breathe, IN, OUT, IN, OUT, without the junkyard yapping at your heels.

So go on try a little practice.....

Gotta leave it to you now, a little prematurely, as my head space is calling me to stop and listen.

So long for now.

LAURA
